In
Rembrandt’s
footsteps:
a walking
tour of the
city
A
guide takes
you in the
footsteps
of the Amsterdam
of Rembrandt.
Your guests
discover the
city as it
was at the
time when
this multitalented
lived and
worked. Your
guide will
take you to
‘De
Waag’-
a building
from the Middle
Ages –
where Rembrandt
attended anatomical
lessons which
he immortalised
in his paintings;
the church
containing
the grave
of his wife
Saskia; the
Palace on
the Dam, at
the time the
largest city
hall in the
world! You
will also
visit the
spots where
he lived,
for instance,
the grand
house where
he would live
and work in
the prosperous
phase of his
life; the
church where
he is buried.
Starting
point:
the ‘Rembrandthouse’
or any other
