ARTTRA has a new package for anyone wanting to experience the best of Amsterdam without much time to spare. A guided tour of a museum of your choice, followed by a private canal trip including full drinks and appetisers.The Golden Age, modern architecture: all themes are possible. In its 25 year existence, ARTTRA has developed an exclusive cooperation with the National Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandthuis and the Hermitage. During this package, your art historian guide will provide interesting information, tailored to your group. For (foreign) business relations, directors, (art) friends, family, in Dutch or in other languages of your choice.

Golden Bend in fact and fiction!
On Sunday the 5th of September, ARTTRA is organising a special programme together with the Rijksmuseum around the Golden Bend. The Rijksmuseum will be hosting an exhibition of paintings, prints and drawings showing the spectacular expansion of 17th-century Amsterdam. A number of maps from the Rijksmuseum’s own collection charting the expansion agreed on in 1662 will also be on display. Central to the exhibition are six views by Gerrit Berckheyde depicting theGouden Bocht (Golden Bend) on the Herengracht Canal which was the richest part of the new city.The four paintings and two drawings by Berckheyde are from the collections of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam City Archives and the Six family and they provide a magnificent picture of one of the most beautiful parts of Amsterdam’s canal belt. Berckheyde captured the bend three times from the perspective of Leidsestraat and three times from Vijzelstraat.

Workshop ’Make your own Matisse’
From March of this year the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam will be hosting Matisse to Malevich, an exhibition of paintings by the pioneers of the modern art. ARTTRA has been working in an exclusive partnership with Hermitage Amsterdam since the museum first opened and has developed and led many tours. ARTTRA can also take your guests on a guided tour of masterpieces by artists such as Matisse, Picasso and Kandinsky.ARTTRA is currently offering a special Matisse workshop as a unique teambuilding experience. Matisse’s canvasses and collages all exude an exuberant lust for life. His flowers, luxuriant plants, and sensual nudes in contrasting colours will undoubtedly inspire your guests to access new levels of creativity.
After a guided tour at the Hermitage with a special emphasis on Matisse, the ARTTRA tour guide will escort the group to a neighbouring studio on the Amstel where your guests will set to work under the supervision of an inspiring artist who will instruct them to Make your own Matisse collage.
