ARTTRA offers various cultural day programs
on art and nature. ‘The pastoral life of the aristocracy’,
‘Sailing in Frisia’, and Modern Architecture
in Almere. Tailored to the interests of your guests, guided
by experienced art historians in any language desired.
They are socially very capable and will do their utmost
to give your guests a good time. Clearly, ARTTRA ensures
that all practical issues are perfectly taken care of.
The
young city of Almere has developed
an international reputation
for its interesting architectural
projects. The experimental
competition homes
in De Fantasie and De Realiteit
districts still exist and
date from 1982 and 1985. Themes
also play a role in the different
neighbourhoods, such as the
emphasis on colour in the
Regenboogbuurt, which was
inspired by a famous
Berlin district that was designed
by Bruno Taut. Recent
additions include Kazuyo Sejima’s
transparent theatre, Rem Koolhaas’
cinema, De Citadel shopping
and housing complex, the tower
Silverline. Your
architectural historian guide
will also take in such examples
of landscape architecture
as Marinus Boezem’s
‘The Green Cathedral’,
where 178 Italian poplar trees
have been planted in the same
positions as the pillars of
the Gothic Notre Dame cathedral
in Reims.
It goes without saying that
the tour will include a culinary
surprise!
